The MOTM-800 provides a standard ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, and Release) envelope for controlling VCAs, filters, and other CV inputs. Both positive-going (0V to +5V) and negative-going (0V to -5V) envelopes are simultaneously available.

Attack, Decay, and Release times can be set from 1ms to over 14 seconds using the smooth-feel, conductive-plastic Bourns log pots.

The MOTM-800 can actually be operated in one of 3 modes:

  • Gate & Trigger: a full ADSR (Attack/Decay/Sustain/Release) cycle, including re-triggerable AD portion with Gate on and a new Trigger
  • Gate only: ADSR like Roland "Drop Gate" synths (SH-101, etc), generates full ADSR cycles with Gate only.
  • Trigger only: AD cycle, useful for "stretching" drum pad envelopes.

Using a smaller PCB than other MOTM modules, the MOTM-800 can easily be assembled in an hour. However, the MOTM-800 still has all of the quality features of the larger modules: double-sided pc board with LPI solder mask, poured ground planes, 1/8" thick front panel, and custom steel mounting bracket

Each demo uses a simple voice of one MOTM-110, one MOTM-300, one MOTM-420, and one MOTM-800.
